Max acquired a taste for nature photography
in his 40's after moving to his countryside
home near Terrell, Texas. He started
documenting virgin woods and wildflowers that
few others had seen. Photography became a
serious hobby after purchasing a Canon A2
and later going digital with the 10D and 5D.

He has focused on flowers and other macro
subjects, but now is also traveling to discover
more landscape images. His series of water
lotus stem reflections on a still lake transform
natures images into geometric shapes that
evoke abstract art.

Max's photographs are displayed at several offices including Presbyterian Hospital in
Dallas, the Canyon Ranch Spa in Nevada and in many private collections. His work is
also soon to be in the W Condominiums.

A jazz drumming profession was interrupted by a stint in the Air Force during the
Vietnam War. Max worked several years in the semiconductor industry, but for the last
15 years has been a legal assistant in law firms and corporations.

Following this attention to detail, Max is now focusing his 10" Newtonian telescope to
capturing images of the night sky and heavenly constellations. We are eagerly awaiting
the results.
